When it comes to employer fraud and malfeasance, whistleblower statutes such as the False Claims Act offer the possibilities of recovery and vindication for employees who share their knowledge with the government. This panel will cover the basics of how to spot potential whistleblower claims, common fact patterns, the procedures for bringing claims under the False Claims Act, how to balance whistleblower claims with other employment claims (including retaliation claims), and pitfalls to avoid when bringing whistleblower claims.
