Join us for a lunch conversation with Kyla Bender-Baird, visiting Assistant Professor of Legal Studies and Sociology at Kenyon College, Ezra Cukor, Senior Staff Attorney at the Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund, and Kyle S. Rapiñan, from the Law Enforcement Bureau of the New York City Commission on Human Rights, who will provide a theoretical understanding of the construct of gender; share novel empirical research on best practices for representing transgender clients; and provide guidance on how to prosecute common actionable discrimination cases involving gender identity including deadnaming, misgendering, sexual harassment and provision of health care benefits.
